Winners for BC's Set for Life

Fortune Finds Campbell River Couple

Fortune Finds Campbell River Couple	Richmond, BC, May 16, 2006 – Archie Annette and Florence Annette never thought they would ever win a large lottery prize, but thanks to their Set for Life lump sum prize win of $675,000, the Annette’s dreams have come true.

Archie and Florence were recently on an overnight trip in Comox. Florence noticed the hotel they were staying at had put fortune cookies in their room. She opened up a cookie and the fortune read, “You will come into some money”. Previous to this trip, Archie had picked up some Chinese food for the both of them and noticed a “Smiling Dancing Buddha” statue. “Of course I rubbed his stomach for good luck”, Archie joked.

On the way home from Comox, they stopped off at the Comox Rexall Drug Store and picked up a couple of Set For Life tickets to play when they got home later that evening. Archie was the one who scratched the lucky ticket. He turned to Florence and said, “I think we won the big one!” Florence thought he was joking. This win became reality when they had the ticket validated a couple of days later. Florence said, “We just kind of stared at each other because we knew, now, we had won it.”
The lucky couple plans to invest their winnings, share some of it with family and do some home renovations.

BC’s Set for Life is a $4 Scratch & Win ticket that offers players a top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years, or a one-time lump sum of $675,000.
