Christmas for Life scratch & win ticket makes it a Christmas to remember!
Richmond, December 19, 2006 – Bernice Colbreath of North Vancouver, was at Lonsdale Stationary store mailing her Christmas cards when she decided to treat herself to a couple of Scratch & Win tickets. She went home and scratched her Christmas for Life scratch ticket and called her son and daughter over to look at her ticket to confirm what she saw. Bernice said, "I never dreamt about winning that amount – it's a miracle."
Bernice had the choice of taking an annuity payment of $5,000 every Christmas for 25 years or taking the lump sum payment of $75,000. She decided to take the one time lump sum payment of $75,000.
Although, she wants to think about what she will do with the bulk of her prize, this 76-year-old retiree will share some of her winnings with her family and friends. It will certainly be a memorable Christmas for Bernice and her three children and four grandchildren.
The winning ticket was sold at Lonsdale Stationary located on Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver.
