Couple 'Set For Life', perform 'happy dance'
Kamloops, B.C., March 19, 2009 – Persistence certainly paid off for Kamloops resident, Johan Bella McLeod, who is now "Set For Life".
The 48-year-old office administrator will receive $1,000 a week for 25 years after winning the top prize on a 'Set For Life' ticket she bought at The Little Red Store on Westsyde Road.
"I usually buy a pair of scratch & win tickets every week," said Johan. "One of them is always a 'Set For Life' ticket. I had my husband, Gary, scratch it because he is always lucky."
Applying his 'King Midas touch', Gary showed the prize-winning ticket to his wife.
"We looked at each other and just started giggling," recalls Johan. "Then I did a 'happy dance'.
Gary asked, 'What do we do now?'
'Anything we want,' I said."
The happy couple plan to enjoy retirement together.
Set For Life is the instant Scratch & Win game which offers players the chance to win a top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years. Odds of winning a prize on Set For Life are 1:5.44.
