Vancouver family now 'Set For Life'

September 15, 2009, Richmond B.C. – A 45-year-old Vancouver woman is now 'Set For Life' after winning the top prize of 1,000 a week for 25 years on BCLC's Set For Life instant Scratch & Win ticket.

"My initial reaction was shock and disbelief," says Bernice Grandison, who scratched the ticket in front of family members. "We checked the ticket over and over again to make sure the three symbols were there but no one could quite believe it."

Grandison, who arrived at BCLC's Richmond office with her family in tow to collect her winnings, has opted to take home the lump sum payment of $675,000. She plans to purchase an investment property and is overjoyed at being able to share her good fortune with her family.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shefield & Sons Tobacconist in Terrace.
