The Weekly Transfer-In Limit is the maximum amount (set by you) that you will be able to transfer from your credit card, debit card or bank account into your PlayNow Wallet during a seven day period.
The Transfer does not take place automatically.
You may transfer up to $9,999 per week into your PlayNow.com accounts and set your own play limits at any dollar amount within that threshold.
If you use online bill payment and transfer-in more than your Weeekly Transfer-In limit, the extra amount will automatically be retuned to your bank account. - Why can BCLC sell lottery products over the Internet?
Under the Criminal Code of Canada, only the Province or its Agent can conduct and manage gaming on or through a computer.

PlayNow is a state-of-the-art online environment. BCLC’s Internet Gaming Code of Conduct & Responsible Play is available in full at bclc.com. In short, a player can trust that we:

- Restrict play to adult: To play, a player must be nineteen years of age or older. That’s the law.
- Set weekly limit: There is a set maximum weekly limit on the amount a player may fund their wallet account.

BCLC has a variety of safeguards and controls throughout the PlayNow site. These include:

- Purchase history: Tickets purchased and amount spent for the past 52 weeks
- Age control: 19+ and data verification using one of Canada’s major credit bureaus

- Player accounts: User names and password protected
- Secure payment methods: Players can choose to use their online bank accounts, Visa or Mastercard to fund their Wallet Account with PlayerCash
- Player privacy: Meets or exceeds all statutory requirements
- How do you know a player is at least aged 19 and in the province of B.C. when they access BCLC games over the Internet?
We have invested in significant safeguards, authentication processes and security measures to ensure the integrity of our games. An individual must register and create a player account before play is enabled. To do this, the player must provide credit card information that will be sent electronically to one of Canada’s major credit bureaus. This third-party validation verifies both age and residency.
The purchase of lottery products can only occur while the player is physically located in B.C. and it is a violation of the PlayNow Player Agreement to attempt to purchase if outside of the province. - Can I cancel my ticket?

- My bank account branch is with a financial institution in another province. Why don't I see BCLC as a payee choice for Bill Payment on their web site?
BCLC believes that most financial institutions that operate in B.C. will show BCLC (or B.C. Lottery) as a payee option for their customers. If you deal with a financial institution that does not list BCLC as a payee choice, please let us know by phoning Consumer Services at 1-866-815-0222 for assistance or send an email to consumerservices@bclc.com and we will investigate.

- Why has my credit card issuer charged me a fee after loading my Wallet with my credit card?
Credit card issuers independently determine their own policies respecting interest charges, cash advances, and purchase definitions. BCLC considers the sale of PlayerCash vouchers to be normal purchases. Cardholders must determine whether their card issuer policies respecting what constitutes a cash advance is fair and acceptable.
A small number of credit card issuers may:- Consider PlayerCash purchases to be cash advances and charge service fees and/or interest from the date you load your Wallet. Any charges are not imposed by BCLC and related fee policies are entirely under the control of your credit card issuer.
- Consider PlayerCash purchases to be contrary to their respective credit cardholder usage policies, and this may result in your transaction being declined. If this happens, you may wish to try using an alternative credit card, or to use the Online Bill Payment method to load your wallet.
- What is PlayerCash?
PlayerCash are game vouchers that must be purchased from either your bank account or from your credit card in order to buy games on PlayNow. All PlayerCash transactions are recorded in the Transactions section of your PlayNow Wallet. Each PlayerCash game voucher has a redeemable value of one (1) Canadian dollar.

- If I choose to exclude myself from PlayNow play, will I still be able to buy lottery products from a lottery store, enter a bingo hall or casino?
When you register, you must agree that BCLC may share your information amongst its various other business units, such as bingo halls or casinos. At this time, if you elect to self-exclude from PlayNow, BCLC is not yet able to automatically exclude you from its other gaming venues.
Prize Payout
- Why can't I get big prizes paid directly to my bank account?
Major winners must claim prizes in person. Names and photographs of major winners are publicized to protect the integrity of our games. We show that prizes have been won and that winners come from every walk of life.
- I see game results already and I won. Why can't I get paid right away?
BCLC strives to pay prizes to registered PlayNow members as soon as possible. At present, prize claims are payable to PlayNow prize winners in several ways. Generally, prizes are payable automatically on a next day basis to Customer PlayNow Wallet accounts, subject to:
- Nominal prize payment amounts not exceeding BCLC PlayNow Wallet account limits;
- External payout methods elected by a PlayNow member in their account profile, and;
- BCLC policies covering payment of major prize amount claims.
- If I was out of the country after winning a major prize on PlayNow and was unable to respond to BCLC notice within one year, will I forfeit the prize?
If you are eligible to claim a major prize, BCLC will make all reasonable efforts to notify you, using the contact information in your PlayNow profile. If you do not respond to BCLC notice within one year, you may forfeit eligibility to claim a major prize.
- If I win, how do I claim my prize?
Prizes under the Wallet Balance Limit of nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine ($9,999) dollars will be converted to PlayerCash and credited to your Wallet, unless such a credit would cause your Wallet balance to exceed the Wallet Balance Limit. In such circumstances, you may choose to have your prize paid to you by way of a Direct Deposit into your bank account, or by way of a cheque mailed to your home address (as you specified in your PlayNow player profile). For prizes of ten thousand ($10,000) dollars or over, you will be notified to pick up your prize in person at one of BCLC's offices, and you will be required to comply with all validation and security procedures established by BCLC to authenticate and verify your prize win. - If I add the EXTRA on my Multi-Draw ticket, are the EXTRA numbers randomly generated for each draw?

Interactive Games are available only on PlayNow at bclc.com.
- What happens if my computer goes down or freezes during downloading or playing?
Computer or communication problems will not affect the game outcome. After you purchase your game, if your play is terminated in any way, the result of your play will still stand. When you return to PlayNow and login, you will be prompted to complete your play for the Interactives game you were playing. This will take you to a page that displays the result of your play. You need to do this before you will be able to purchase another play for any other Interactive Game.
If you login to the PlayNow site the day after your computer problems occur, you will find that your game play has been completed and the system will show the results in the Past Tickets section of your Play History in your PlayNow player profile. Interactive Game tickets purchased on PlayNow cannot be cancelled once the purchase has been confirmed.
eBingo
- How does eBingo work?
eBingo games are played on the PlayNow site. The games are very similar to regular bingo in that players win a prize if they match the right patterns on their bingo cards. Numbers are called and shown on the screen, and players can mark their cards online, or set them to mark automatically.
- Where is eBingo available?
eBingo is available exclusively on PlayNow.
- When is eBingo open for play?
Single Player games are available every day starting at approximately 4:09 a.m. and close at approximately 4:00 a.m. the next day.

If this occurs please try again later or if you require assistance call Consumer Services at 1-866-815-0222. - What is the difference between Single Player and Multi-Player games?
With Multi-Player games, you play with other PlayNow members. Every player has their own card(s), and anyone can get a Bingo. If there is more than one winner, the prize is divided equally among the cards purchased.
With Single Player games, you're the only one in the game. Games are played on demand, so play when ever you choose. - How many players are needed for a Multi-Player game?
A minimum of two players is required for a Multi-Player draw to be played. If you have purchased card(s) in a draw and there are less than two players, the game will be cancelled and your purchase will be refunded to your PlayNow Wallet.
- Do I need to dab my own cards?
No, you can choose to turn the Autodab feature ON so that the computer takes care of the dabbing for you automatically on your screen. Alternatively, you can turn the Autodab feature OFF and dab the cards yourself. Regardless of which setting you choose, BCLC's PlayNow system will know whether or not your card is a winner, so if you miss dabbing a number it won't affect the outcome of the game.
- Do I need to call "Bingo" if I win?
No, BCLC's PlayNow system will know whether your card has a Bingo and will award the prize accordingly.
- How does the progressive jackpot work?
Each of the three Multi-Player games has a progressive jackpot in which a percentage of all sales are added to the jackpot. The jackpot is won or shared by the first player(s) to get blackout within the specified number of ball calls.
Until the progressive jackpot pool reaches the guaranteed minimum amount, the guaranteed minimum amount is displayed and is awarded if won. Once the progressive jackpot pool exceeds the minimum amount, it continues to grow until it is won.
In the event that a Multi-Player game or jackpot is discontinued, the funds from that jackpot will be added to BCLC's unclaimed prize fund. This fund grows with unclaimed prizes from all lottery games we offer and is used to fund special or bonus lottery prizes. In this way, the money always goes back to players.
BCLC may occasionally add funds to the progressive jackpots. - What happens if my computer goes down or freezes or I lose my internet connection during a game?
Computer or internet connection problems will not affect the game outcome. After you purchase your game, if your play is terminated in any way, the result of your play will still stand.
For Single Player games, if you return to the game where you have an incomplete ticket, you will see your game play out. If you go to your Active Tickets list in your PlayNow player profile you can choose to either complete the game without watching it or replay the game and watch it play out. If you return to the game the next day, the game will have been completed for you by BCLC's PlayNow system.
For Multi-Player games, if you return to the game before the draw is over you can view the remainder of the draw. If you return to the game and the draw is over you can view the results in your Past Tickets list in your PlayNow player profile. You can also view all Multi-Player eBingo draw results on bclc.com.
If you need assistance, call Consumer Services at 1-866-815-0222 or email consumerservices@bclc.com. - Can I cancel my eBingo card purchase?

- What is an alias?
An alias is a name that players choose to represent themselves in eBingo. Your alias may be from 6 to 10 characters long and may only include letters and numbers. Your alias will be shown in the chat window when you are in an eBingo game. If you win a prize, your alias and prize amount will be displayed for other players to view. To play eBingo Multi-Player games or to chat with other players, you need to create an alias.
- How do I change my alias?
To change your alias call Consumer Services at 1-866-815-0222 or email consumerservices@bclc.com.
